Beaver’s is an old neighborhood icehouse that was completely revamped and reopened with an inventive cocktail list, a great craft beer selection and a menu of barbecue, burgers and creative comfort foods. I really liked Beavers and am going to put it on my rotation of restaurants I regularly visit. I would have liked to try more of the appetizers but the pork and cheese stuffed pepperocini's were good. My north carolina bbq pulled pork sandwich was perfect (I used to live in the Carolina's and it was best vinegar based sauce I have had outside of those states) and I loved the coleslaw (much better than the average mayonaise slathered stuff you get at most bbq joints). I also thought the cocktail list was very creative and enjoyed the two I tried. Our waitress was excellent. Overall, I had a great experience and am looking forward to my next visit.

I'm not sure what part of the Carolinas "HeaAndrews" is from but I htought the pulled pork was so dry that resembled chopped beef. You're right though the sauce was great, just what i expect from Monica. Everything off the smoker was dried out; clearly cooked to fast at too high a temperature (anyone who ownes a respectable smoker knows this). Everyone talks about the drinks and that is clearly the saving grace for this place. Appetizers were creative (again expect that from Monica). Clearly someone needs to rollup their sleeves and manage this place. Step 1) FIRE THE PIT MASTER, 2) FIRE THE MANAGER (we actually told our waitress the food wasn't edible and the Manager never bothered to come by), 3) Get real about the prices (a smoker platter with no sides $12!!!), 4) Ask Mr. Klose to come over and show the staff how to use his awesome pit, and 5) Start paying attention to your customers (ask for our feedback).

This place needs a turnaround expert!!!
