Though kilts are not required dress at this Scottish pub in Rice Village, if you do happen to wear one you won't feel out of place. The place looks the Scots part with seats upholstered in red and black plaid, a large Scottish flag hanging above the bar, exposed wood beams and a jukebox loaded with British Isles favorites, including Echo & the Bunnymen, Sex Pistols and Franz Ferdinand. Scotland's favorite son, Sir Sean Connery, is immortalized by dozens of framed publicity photos and a little shrine in the front corner. With more than 40 variations of Scotch behind the bar, and 20-plus beers on tap, the Kelvin Arms has everything you could want in a pub. Since the place used to be a bank, there's even a large vault that opens into a lounge filled with red leather couches and chairs. Aye.
