Jose was the calming voice I needed during my stay in Houston following hurricane Katrina. While flipping through the channels for the morning news I discovered newscaster with the same sur name as my old college roommate. I had not heard from Carmen in 43 years and had no way of reaching her to ask if Jose was her brother.Well, it didn\\\'t matter because I was so impressed with his sense of timing,delivery, and overall professionalism that I decided make his the show I would watch for my entire 6 months stay. Thank you Jose for making my stay in Houston memorable and starting my mornings with so much grace.

I like Mike Barajas and Melissa Wilson...the yare the best news reporters in Houston

Last weekend I had the priviledge of warming up the crowd for the \\\\\\\"Loco Comedy Jam,\\\\\\\" and the first words that came out of my mouth were \\\\\\\"Thank You Houston.\\\\\\\"
That \\\\\\\"Thank you,\\\\\\\" though never expressed directly to the Houston Press and its readers for the recognition, was defnitely expressed to the crowd attending the event that night. And what a funny night it was.
San Antonio native and a member of the Latin Kings of Comedy Mike Robles put together a quintet of comedians for a grerat night of entertainment. Tommy Davidson (In Living Color), Chris \\\\\\\"Kid\\\\\\\" Reid (Kid from Kid \\\\\\\'n Play), Darren Carter (DaRon to get respect), Joey Medina (Latin Kings of Comedy), and hometown talent Renee Garcia, who seems to be an up and coming comedian, were all part of an adult comedy night that left everybody in stitches. Just ask anybody who was there.
And again, Thank You \\\\\\\"Houston Press\\\\\\\" and your diverse readership for the honor.
